Hi Peter,
MESA: File format for the Akai S3000, separate files for the programs
(.s3p) and the samples.
To get samples in to your computer is easy. On Mac (which is what I
use), I open CDXtract.
I then insert the Roland CD-ROM, and when the Mac gives me an alert,
I choose <ignore>
I then select <Search for sampler discs> in CDXtract, and it finds
the CD, and displays all the data on the CD. It's then just a matter
of choosing what you want to convert.
You can also create new multi-layered programs, combine programs with
crossfades or velocity switches and preview samples directly in the
app.
I think there's a demo which you can test for yourself...

Hello,
I'm new to the list. Got a s760 recently & looking to share infos & experiences. I'm currently trying to configure my pcr30 midi controller to control s760's partial's parameters... I don't even know if it is possible, though I've been programming several pcr's setup for other synths including sysex, here i'm kinda stuck...
I'm desperately looking for the SYSex implementation guide for the s760 (it was removed from the downloadable pdf manual from Roland's site). I read from google that someone has posted the same request here some months ago... I believe my savior's name's Ingo... :o) Please, Ingo, if you read this, would you send me a copy of the s760's sysex impl? 1000 thanks. These samplers sound so nice!
Greets from Belgium,
Boris
