I guess I should provide more detail. I have both the
S-550 and the
S-760 in my rack and I want to share one CGA monitor between them.
I plan to get another one of these cables and a CGA switcher
(assuming I can still find one) which should allow me to just switch
back and forth between my two samplers.
Could I do something similar with just an s-video capable TV monitor?
Thanks!

hopefully others with more knowledge will respond as well.
I haven't used a CGA monitor on my system in at least three years.....
I don't have a S-550.
what I do have is two S-760's, a dvd player and a aurora video card.
they all share the same 13 inch TV using a radio shack s-video switch
that I bought on ebay for I think $25 a few years ago.
from memory the CGA switch was expensive etc.....
but having an S-550 may eliminate you from being able to go S-video.
curious to know however,
does the S-550 have a sound that the S-760 doesn't have?
in other words how come you still use both? S-760's are like $175 on
ebay (10% of what I paid for mine, but anyway :-)), how come you
didnt' replace your S-550?
