mouse, it's probably just the same here. You could check the voltage
on pin 5 (pin 9 is ground) with a voltmeter. If there's no voltage
present, most probably the fuse resistor is blown. The schematic says
it's value is 0.15 ohms.

hello I have
read that when an improper mouse has been plugged in
that it can cause the mouse port on the Roland SXXX to fail or no
longer work properly. Is there an easy way to fix this issue ?
Sadly that happened to me.
I plugged a "normal" mouse into my S550 and it fried whatever
component deals with the mouse. I now have to use the front panel
buttons.
I don't know of a fix for this - if you hear of anything, please
let me know....
