the s series can only communicate to external scsi devices with the
optional scsi adapter board. there is no way to swap out the internal
floppy for some other kind of device without rewriting the system
software and likely extreme circuit mods. i guess there could be some
arcane way of hacking the scsi controller slot, but again, software
rewrite would be part of the equation.
