How does translator output roland format? Does it write the ISO image and then you burn it
to a CD? What's the latest version of traslator? I tried it once around 2001 or so
and found it so buggy as if to be unusable. Can I just stick in an AKAI disk and it will
spit out in Roland format? The native translation of AKAI on the roland is very slow and
painful. Plus the key velocity maps seem to be all wrong.

I find Roland S-7x CD's very easily - EatWest and
QUpArts have them
still for sale on their sites. Roland I believe still sells their CD's.
Sure, it's a little harder find the sounds, but the good news is that
they are less expensive. Additionally (company plug here) you can use
Translator
www.chickensys.com to convert into Roland S-7x format from
any other format, so you aren't necessarily tied into just Roland format.
