I just looked through the MachFive manual and it just
mentions
"Roland S7xx". You make a good point. It likely only works with the
S7xx CD format.
With the S760, when it re-saves S330/S550 disks, does it just save
the raw samples or does it contain all the configuration information
for the sample? If it only does the raw sample, I might be better
off using the SamDisk Utility and getting them into the Mac as AIFF
files and have MachFive load them from there.
If S760 preserved all the S330/S550 disks once they are re-saved,
can a user burn a CD in the Roland S7XX format easily?
Hi David,
I'm sorry if I'm a bit vague on this - it's been a while since I've
done any conversions.
(someone with the tech knowledge please step in here.....)
The way I got data to my Mac was via Zip disks. I have a SCSI Zip
drive attached to my S760. I also have a USB Zip drive to interface
with the Mac.
I use CDXtract for conversions, and it actually "sees" the Roland Zip
disks and I convert from there to EXS24 format.
I'm hoping other folks will add to this regarding Cd's etc.
If I can find some more info, I'll post it later....
Regards - Colin
