Chicken-whatever still doesn't support Roland S-7XX format, right?
It does support it:

There is another app called CDXtract which works in the same way:

I have many Roland sample CD-ROM's (for S760) and CDXtract has
converted them to EXS24 for use in Logic Pro, very well indeed.
You can also combine programs, create layers etc etc.
I still use my S760 as it is wired up to my mixing desk and it still
sounds fine. I do mainly use softsamplers and instruments, simply for
ease of use, faster loading, saving all settings in the song, and so
on.
It's your choice.....
