i've always been a pretty lucky guy. as i was getting ready to sell my s550 recently
(sob!) i tested several disks -- both sd & hd - and they all worked fine.
and i'm glad there's now a place to find the disks! it definitely wasn't
easy a decade ago.

i do agree that you are taking a risk -
you're messing around with something - but finding DS/DD disks isn't easy these
days.
