DON'T!
A DS/HD floppy is of lower magnetic capacity then a DS/DD. If you
cover the hole, the drive will certainly think it's a DS/DD and
certainly write to it, but it's highly questionable if the disk will
retain the information reliably.
Just get some DS/DD floppies.
