I just looked at a schematic, and there's fusible resistor, some
buffer resistors and that's about it between the jack and the uPD
chip. Probably an easy fix. I'd guess look right at the jack before
it connect to the CPU board.
PS, "reply all" works for me.

I thought just one fusible resistor fails if you do this. Maybe
an easy fix?
