CF/Sd/mmc (etc) with a PCMCIA adapter in a scsi reader (or ide->scsi reader
with hardware control) should look like a zip or equal to the sampler (i.e a
MO disc). If the S7X0 can see a zip, it should also be able to see a SCSI
reader. I use similar solutions with both my Yamaha A3000 and EX5R and don't
see why it should not work with Roland gear as well.

mean to sound offensive, but why even bother with doing this?
Because cards will be infinitely more reliable than mechanical zip disks.
A 256meg card is only $20.
As Bernie said, 32Mb is not a lot of memory, apart
from other
considerations.
I use a SCSI Zip drive and the 100Mb disks get filled up in no time at
all.
No time at all? You must sample a lot!
I've been writing for many years and haven't really used up *one* zip disk
yet with samples.
