Hi,
I've found an internal SCSI connector on my S750, only it isn't populated
:-((doesn't bother me greatly, if I have to use an external device so be it,
it can be bolted to the back of the shelf that is half occupied (in depth
terms) by my wacky old Yamaha analogue delay... this is all going into my
gigging rack (16U of immoveable object), along with a JD990, a Soundart
Chameleon, a DIgitech Vocalist, aforesaid delay, an LA dual Mic Preamp, a
Behringer 16-channel line mixer, a quad DI box and an assortment of patchign
so that I can easily plug in the three keyboards (bass-station, Fatar
controller, Quasimidi Sirius) and the JS30, with all the assorted control,
signal and oddball (monitor and SCSI for the S750, serial port for the
Chameleon) lines brought out......plus there's a 2U rack-drawer in the back
of it with all my gigging cables plus a 3U power-supply (9VDC x 8, 9V AC x
3, 240VAC x 5) to run everythign on.... count up the U and realise that it's
pretty tightly packed on the front and has 5U populated on the back as
well....... it's a 2 man job to do anything with but at least when I get to
a gig it's a quick job to get it set up (well for such a big rig anyway) and
I only need a 3-tier keyboard stand cos the JS30 goes on top of the
rack.....
at least.... that's the plan.... will be playing this Friday at the Zodiac
in the middle of the bill, won't be using the samplers this time but should
be next time out in Wales at the end of the month...

Hi,
I sold my s750 some time ago (and got myself an A3000). As i have done it
now (and as you should be able to do as well) is to use a Compact flash
device on my A3000. It will work since it identifies itself as a removable
drive (i.e a "zip"). For this to work, i bought a IDE->scsi convertor card
and a pcmcia-card reader which i connected to the internal scsi port (the
S750 does not have any internal scsi connector). I guess that you could
build a "scsi y-cable connector" to lead one cable to the inside of the
S750 and use a similar setup. As for the power part of it, the ide->scsi
card and the pcmcia reader uses a floppy connector and a HD connector
(5volts and 5 + 12 volts). You should be able to get this from the built in
power supply.
Kind regards
