I'd like to mention that the Roland 760 (which I
bought because it
was the closest in operation to the Synclavier which I learned first
but couldn't afford) and especially the sample libraries have been
the blood and guts to all our scores... and those samples sound even
better now in DPs Mach 5. We'll NEVER sell our 760s cause the custom
libraries we have STILL don't translate to other platforms, due to
the Roland emphasis curve.

You should take a look at CDXtract - it specifically uses the the
Roland emphasis curve when doing sample conversions from Roland
libraries. I use it all the time and it's a great app.
