Looks like a problem with the power supply to me.....So much things that ain't
working right.

You have some real problems there....
Are you trying to connect a monitor via the RGB port? It's not a
"normal" configuration - you need to look at S550 websites to get the
correct pin-out config.
Try using the Monochrome output to see if you get a display at all.
It's not as pretty as full colour but at least you may be able to
work.....
The floppy drive does NOT click while waiting for a floppy. It's
silent and inactive until you insert a disk.

Yes,there could be a problem with the panel as
when I received the S550
the volume knob had come off,indicating it may have taken a hit on the front
in the post,although the panel does occasionally light up the odd
character sometimes
when its turned on.I have a compatible composite monitor but all I get is a
blank screen,I also have the original system disks in the wallet and a mouse.
Also shouldn't the floppy drive click until it gets a disk? as I
have a DJ-70 and
that does until it gets a floppy.
