Hello everyone.
I'm archiving my Roland S-330 samples. I'm using the *s550util* that Peter
Heitzer developed. For those that don't know, this is a utility that runs
on Linux at the command line. You can use the linux 'dd' command to create
an image (.img) of a 3.5 floppy disk. Here is a link to Peter's software
for those interested:

I have extracted the same tone in raw mode (-r) and with the default. They
are different files, but I don't know what the difference is. Perhaps
someone here knows the difference? What purpose does the raw mode serve?
s550util v. 1.01 (Jul 26 2015) (c) 2004-2006 Peter Heitzer
Usage: s550util -h|-l <file>|[-r] -{x|X} <file> [s1 .. sn]
-h: show help
-r: raw mode, ignore tone start and end points
-l <file>: show info for image <file>
-x <file> <s1> .. <sn> extract samples s1 .. sn
-X <file> : as -x but overwrite files
Sample numbers are in Roland notation, e.g. 11 for first sample.
A range of sample numbers can be given as <first>-<last>, e.g. 14-16. Only
original tones can be extracted.
Thanks in advance!
