Hello everyone,this is my first post so please bear with me.I
purchased a S550
from ebay a couple of weeks ago with library and mouse.Unfortunatly
when I turned it on
all it does is flash all of its LEDs constantly,the floppy light is
permantly on and the display is blank.
Has anybody got any idea what is wrong with it,someone suggested the
RAM may have become unseated
but I opened it up and everything looks soldered to the
motherboard.Any help will be greatly
appreciated as this is most frustrating! Thanks,Jason

This is probably a stupid question, but have inserted a floppy with
an operating system on it? The S-550 boots from floppy, without a
floppy when powered on it doesn't do anything.
If your S-550 didn't come with any floppies, you can download a disk
image of a floppy with an OS on it here:

I once had problems with my S-330, because the CPU chip had poor
contact with its socket. But I don't know if this can happen with the
S-550 too.
