 Also, anyone know about the sequencer software, and dongle for the S-series
 units. I believe they are labeled for use with their intended sampler model,
 but could, and or is the software, and dongles interchangeable with other
 models? 
The sequencer package comes in two models:  SYS-333 and SYS-553.  That is
both software and dongle are model specific.  You can't actually use SYS-333
with an S-550 sampler.

I learned this the hard way.  I bought the SYS-333 on eBay and tried to use
the dongle with a copy of 553 software.  All I got is an error message
stating incorect dongle.

The sequencer package is a fine piece of software.  It allows you to create
a sequence and embed sample within it.  You can then share your sequence
disks with other S-sampler owners.  The dongle is only needed for write
operations, not for reading.
