Hi folks, following last nights resounding null result I've had a couple of thoughts. Firstly it is possible that the CF card I had was supposed to be 3V3 rather than 5V in which case it's as dead as a Dodi... ALso we use IDE flash drives at work adn have a few corrupt ones lying around so I'm taking them home (I've had previous success reinitialising them with an Atari Falcon so I tend to get to do this as a way of fixing them anyway) and I'll try running them through. These drives need no driver for normal IDE uses so I live in hope that they'll work OK. If they do then as long as I don't want an enormous capacity (I don't, I want robust and light portability) then these drives are pretty cheap, 32Mb would be about 15UKP or so, with the SCSI-IDE adapter costing me about the same.... Now I know that 30 UKP for 32MB is rubbish by modern standards it will be a lighter adn more robust than any normal hard-drive, all I need to get in them is the 18Mb load for the S750 and the 4Mb for the JS30, I don't plan on reloading during a gig so it all goes in as one setup...... chrisc
