Hello everybody !
Does anyone knows how to handle a crazy Roland S50 ? The problem is
that when loading process from disk drive is complete (OS 2.0 with
samples), the S50 becomes locked: no buttons operate, no sounds from
audio output, nor MIDI OUT messages ... all seems to be frozen.
May be floppy drive so the loading process has failed ?
I hope someone can help me.

I'd like try to change the internal 3"1/2 drive; any suggests,

Rene maybe an expert here can help you with that. Seems like you will
get a Low Density floppy. The one I think the S50 uses but double check
to be sure. Check maybe Ebay for replacement or S50 for parts.
My S760 is on the shelf at the moment. I used to have an S50 years ago
and loved it.
Maybe check out some Roland websites. Search google.

An idea:
Do you have another system disk? Re-boot and see if the same problem happens.
If your drive was faulty, maybe it wouldn't work at all. The fact
that it goes to the end of the load and then freezes suggests it is a
different problem.
