Well, it all seems a little silly to me since our own group has had the Roland and a whole
bunch of other sample libraries available for download for years:
http://www.generalconcepts.com/sgroup/archive/samples/
BTW, David Green's Lil Chips site is still up and running, just in stealth mode:
http://www.lilchips.com/roland/roland/index.asp
Some of David's S- images were corrupt and didn't load correctly but I
can't remember which ones.

I'm not 'legally in the know', but wasn't there the this-or-that-site
a
while ago (a shame I forgot the name)
from which lots of Roland-info & disk-images could be downloaded from ?
That site wasn't affiliated with Roland AFAIK, but dunno, maybe they had the
go-ahead from Roland ?
If not, then it'll be fine I guess, that site (ah, Li'lchips it was:
www.lilchips.com ) wasn't exactly low-profile,
so it'll have been OK I assume (for lack of a more founded evidence ;-)
As it seems they don't longer offer these disk-inages though.
Bye,
Peter

My feeling is this is no longer an issue and everything should be
freely shared.
Or, am I missing something?
