Thanks, and Happy New Years to you and yours. I've got my studio set up again in my bedroom this time. 'Looking forward to some recording next year, I hope. By the way, I've got about twenty rack spaces worth of rack gear, plus 5" studio monitors, a CGA monitor for my S-760, and space for my laptop, my Yamaha AW4416 and a Nakamichi cassette deck on my huge keyboard rack and a large upright computer component rack. New subject: Happy New Year!

Top of the New Year to ALL! I'd like to mention that the Roland 760 (which I bought because it was the closest in operation to the Synclavier which I learned first but couldn't afford) and especially the sample libraries have been the blood and guts to all our scores... and those samples sound even better now in DPs Mach 5. We'll NEVER sell our 760s cause the custom libraries we have STILL don't translate to other platforms, due to the Roland emphasis curve. May everyone have a healthy, happy and prosperous 2006. I have all the studio equipment in the desk now. New subject: Happy New Year!

That's very interesting, since I have been a long time user of MOTU stuff, and after getting Mach 5, I found out from others on the Motu-Mac mailing list that while it does support samples from other libraries including Roland, it can't truly do everything the Roland equipment does just "out of the box". I don't know if Roland makes an AU (Audio Unit) or not, but if they did, hopefully it would do at least what their hardware has done. David A. Hi guys, You should take a look at CDXtract - it specifically uses the the Roland emphasis curve when doing sample conversions from Roland libraries. I use it all the time and it's a great app. Here: http://www.cdxtract.com/cdxtract.php Hope this helps. Regards - Colin
